Avian Influenza Updates
The American Racing Pigeon Union national office and your lobbyist, Greg Smith, have been and continue to monitor the situation regarding recent detection of Avian Influenza. Cases have been detected in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California and Utah.
Our goal is to continue to reach out to state officials to assure them that AU members follow basic biosecurity measures and maintain clean lofts. Our hope is that the impact on pigeon fanciers will be minimal as they proceed with containing and eliminating any outbreak.
