2012 Showcase Loft Contest Winner

AU members were invited to vote for their favorite loft in the 2012 Showcase Loft contest. The winner is Kathy Braden out of Fallon, Nevada. Kathy’s “Hearts of Gold” loft is a winning combination of style and practicality. And as always, contest winners illustrate the healthy housing required for vigorous birds, reflecting well on the sport.

Kathy joined the AU two years ago. She shared that she is not a carpenter; however, she did most of the work herself. “It took ten times as long to build all this by myself, but was well worth it and my birds are happy with the outcome,” she said.

Congratulations to Kathy. She will receive limited edition prints in the AU Convention Series by Artist Jim Brown, along with a winner’s plaque.

Thank you to all the participants for demonstrating the quality of care AU members provide for their birds. You reflect the sport well.
